The Garmin 255W 4.3-inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator is a very nice lower priced GPS navigator. You get the widescreen, plenty of maps (Canada and Alaska, if that’s important), and lots of other features. One of my favorite “must have” features is text to speech, which the Garmin 255W 4.3-inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator has. Text to speech means the device actually tells you the names of the streets it’s going to turn on, instead of just saying, “Turn left.”
For a low to mid-priced GPS, it would be hard to do better than the Garmin 255W 4.3-inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator.
